Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These terms govern your use of Breakdown Assistant (the "Service"), operated by Jungle Software ("we", "us"). By creating an account or uploading a screenplay, you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service does

You upload an untagged Final Draft (.fdx) screenplay. The Service uses AI to identify production breakdown elements (cast, props, vehicles, and similar categories), anchors them to the exact text of your script, and returns a tagged .fdx file along with PDF and CSV exports.

2. Your content

  • You retain all ownership and rights to any screenplay you upload. We claim no ownership over your content.
  • You confirm you have the right to upload the screenplay and to have it processed by the Service, including by third-party AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • We treat unproduced screenplays as confidential material. We do not read, share, or use your scripts for anything other than generating your breakdown.

3. Storage and deletion

  • Uploaded scripts and generated outputs are stored encrypted and are automatically and permanently deleted 30 days after upload.
  • You may delete a script and everything derived from it at any time from the Scripts page — deletion is immediate and permanent.

4. Credits and billing

  • The first 10 scenes of any script can be broken down free, once per script, with no credit required.
  • A full breakdown of a script uses one credit. Credits are purchased in packs and do not expire.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
  • If a paid breakdown fails to produce any results, the credit is automatically refunded to your account.

5. AI-generated results

Breakdown results are generated by AI and may be incomplete or contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing the tagged output before relying on it for production scheduling or budgeting.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to upload content you do not have the right to process, attempt to disrupt or overload the Service, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jungle Software is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including scheduling or budgeting decisions made from its output.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
